About Us
History
The "Jehovah Is My Shepherd Christian Church" began on November 3, 2007 in the home of the Alvarenga family. God called Pastor Nolberto Alvarenga with the purpose of opening a work, a ministry of restoration. Together with his family and the support of other families, the ministry for which the servant of God was called began. With a total of 7 families, we decided to obtain a location at "8739 Boone Rd." since there was no more space for more people in the pastoral house. After 6 years of being in this location, the Lord opened doors for us to obtain the temple where we congregate now.

Pastores Nolberto & Aracely Alvarenga
Pastor Nolberto Alvarenga was born in the country of "El Salvador" in the department of La Union, in a Christian home where his father was also a minister of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. In 1988 he immigrated to the United States of North America where he met his wife Aracely Alvarenga and they were married on March 23, 1990, and God blessed them with three children and in 2007 God called them to the pastoral ministry in the city of Houston, Texas along with their entire family. He gave them a missionary ministry where the Lord has allowed churches to be opened in the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico and two in the state of Texas. The vision that the Lord has given Pastor Nolberto is to heal the wounded, raise up the fallen and restore lives with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
